2017 Poem a Day Challenge #10

_Kirk_ Poetry, Writing 0 Comments

April is National Poetry Writing Month! The challenge is to write a poem every day of the month. I’m using prompts from the Writer’s Digest Poetic Asides blog.

Write a travel poem.

Trip

Wherever home will be, soon,
there too will be my curved skin, my skeleton
and intimacy, diplomacy, a vacancy
left by belonging to anything.
The segregation of prospect:
a dwelling
carved out in relief
from the negative space.
